The Manufacturers and Other Industries Economic Group (MEG) invites members to a half-day Conference on The Future of Manufacturing. The event targets all those members interested in the way forward for a competitive manufacturing sector, and aims to delve into the issues being faced by both large and small enterprises.
The Conference will ask:
- Where is the comparative competitive advantage for large companies? What are the challenges?
- What efforts need to be made by SMEs to stay competitive? What should be the priorities of public support measures?
The Conference Aims to:
- Promote the importance of the manufacturing sector, its sustainability and continued development.
- Address Government and the Opposition, as well as key Stakeholders, whose policies affect the sector.
- Involve the members of the Economic Group and highlight different viewpoints from all manufacturers, regardless of sector or size.
Speakers include:
- The Hon. Tonio Fenech, Minister of Finance, the Economy and Investment
- The Hon. Chris Cardona, Labour Party Main Spokesperson for Industry, Self-Employed and Foreign Investment
- Mr. Andy Gatesy, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Toly Products Limited
- Mr. Alfred Camilleri, Managing Director, Inspectra Limited
This will be followed by a Panel Discussion Chaired by Mr. Matthias Fauser, MEG Chairman. Panel Members include:
