Business Opportunities in Alternative Transport

Following the first event on sustainable mobility that was organised by the German-Maltese Business Council within the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry on 8th June 2016, a second event will be organised on Thursday, 29th September 2016 at 14:30hrs at the Malta Chamber. This event will focus on “Business Opportunities in Alternative Transport” and will address the opportunities that businesses can tap into in relation to different modes of transport, as one of the means to help solve the traffic problem in Malta.

The second seminar will include the participation of high-profile local speakers and stakeholders, as per programme attached. There will also be a key-note speaker from Germany, Prof. Dr. Michael Von Hauff, a professor of Economics and Economic Policy at the Technical University of Kaiserlautern in Germany. Prof. Dr. Von Hauff is an expert on sustainable development and mobility. He is working on the German-Vietnamese Programme for Green Growth, and has developed concepts for sustainable industrial parks (incl. a common concept for logistics). He also developed a sustainable development strategy for the Federal State of Rhineland-Palatinate (incl. mobility).

There is a participation fee of Eur 10 for non-members of the Malta Chamber. The participation fee is waived for students.
