With a total of 59 exhibitors, Malta had the second-highest number of exhibitors at the ICE Totally Gaming Exhibition in London – the biggest gaming event in the world.
ICE is the largest showcase for gaming products and services under one roof worldwide. Held between the 6th and 8th February, the only country out of the 61 which participated that had a stronger presence than Malta at ICE was the UK, with 174 exhibitors.
Parliamentary Secretary Silvio Schembri, who attended ICE, said that Malta’s potential within the gaming industry assured that Malta remains at the forefront in the thriving industry.
During meetings with gaming operators who are interested in setting up shop in Malta, Mr Schembri pointed out that Malta has a skilled number of human resources, a strong regulatory framework, and is open to embrace new technology such as the use of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
Mr Schembri said that these were the ideal ingredients that made Malta an attractive destination for whoever wants to invest further, along with Government committed to give the necessary support to those companies that choose Malta as their main base of operations.
