38 RE/MAX Malta agents recently attended ‘Changing the Game’ – the ninth RE/MAX European Convention, this year hosted in Lisbon, Portugal, and held at the renowned Pavilhao Carlos Lopes Convention Centre.
Over 1,200 RE/MAX estate agents from all over Europe, North America and beyond come together every year to celebrate success, share best practices, network and learn from colleagues and distinguished speakers. Previous conventions were held in Vienna, Barcelona, Berlin and Rome.
Speaking about the convention, RE/MAX Malta CEO, Kevin Buttigieg, said: “The RE/MAX European convention is a great platform for our agents to understand other cultures, grow their referral network and, most importantly, learn from established trainers, coaches and motivations speakers. This year the main keynote speaker was top international real estate coach, Richard Robbins.”
The conference featured a number of speakers including Malta’s own Paul Vincenti – International Coach and Trainer, Christian Bischoff – Author, Motivational Speaker & Athlete, Alisee De Tonnac – CEO and Co-Founder of Seedstars World, Nils Muller – Innovator, CEO and Founder of Trendone, and Pellegrino Riccardi – Global Keynote Speaker and Cross-Cultural Expert.
This is the ninth year that Malta has been represented at the European convention. Whilst several Maltese agents attend the conferences under their own steam, the company also offers incentives throughout the year to top performers within the RE/MAX Malta group, each of whom achieves a fully-paid trip to the European convention. Beyond that, RE/MAX Malta offers a similar incentive to the RE/MAX International Conference, which is held in Las Vegas, USA, every year in March.
Mr Buttigieg continues: “Learning is one of our key ethos and we believe that, by encouraging our agents to attend these conferences, we are living by our values. The conferences not only assist our agents in their real estate learning process but also serve as excellent team building.”
Speaking during the conference, Mr Michael Polzler, CEO of RE/MAX Europe, said that the network is on the path to reach 30,000 agents within the next 12-to-18 months. He believes that technology, a focus on improving the educational platform and better co-operation are top of the priority list.
The next RE/MAX European convention will be held between 17-19 October 2018 in Amsterdam.
