Alfred Mifsud, former Central Bank Deputy Governor, appointed to BOV board

He was designated as non-executive director by co-option. 

Bank of Valletta has appointed Alfred Mifsud, the former Central Bank Deputy Governor, as non-executive director on its board. 

BOV announced that Mr Mifsud’s appointment had received regulatory approval and was effective from 19th December 2019. 

The bank also said that BOV chairman Taddeo Scerri was reappointed to his position, and James Grech retained the role of non-executive director. 

Meanwhile, outgoing CEO Mario Mallia, who stepped down in November, has been replaced by new CEO and executive director Rick Hunkin. He is the first ever foreign CEO of Bank of Valletta.
