He is just one of three people on the list whose net worth exceeds $100 billion.

Founder, CEO and president of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, is the richest person in the world, even after losing $10 billion in 2019.

The Bloomberg Billionaire Index revealed that Bezos held the top spot in the last day of 2019 with an estimated net worth of $115 billion. His divorce settlement with ex-wife MacKenzie Bezos in 2019 made it a choppy year for his finances, where he held on to 75 per cent of the couple’s Amazon stock.

Jeff Bezos’ net worth was followed closely by Microsoft Founder Bill Gates, whose net worth is $113 billion, and French business magnate Bernard Arnault with $105 billion. These three are the only ones on the Bloomberg list with a net worth that exceeds $100 billion.

Other notable names in the list are investor Warren Buffet in fourth place with a net worth of $89.3 billion, and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in fifth place with a net worth of $78.4 billion.

Julia Flesher Koch, widow of American businessman David Koch, is the only woman in the top 10, and is worth $62 billion.
