Asymptomatic screening of individuals for coronavirus
As of Monday, 4th May 2020, a number of Covid-19-related measures have been relaxed, resulting in numerous employees returning to work,
In the past few weeks the Department for Policy in Health have identified individuals who were asymptomatic yet, on swabbing, resulted positive for coronavirus. In view of this the Health Authorities have opened up the swabbing test for people who are asymptomatic yet who would still like to establish whether they may be carrying the virus or not. This is of importance especially to those who are coming into contact with others, particularly the elderly and vulnerable.
Members and their employees are encouraged to get tested if they so wish. Anybody who is interested in doing so is asked to contact 111 to book an appointment for swabbing. This initiative is on a voluntary basis.
