Malta’s oldest brewery and main importer of many food and beverage brands has recently undergone a serious makeover. The need for a healthier space for employees and more efficient environment for production led the group to seek the professional help of DEX Workspaces, who have delivered the excellent furnishing job that the company was after. With customer satisfaction as their primary goal, DEX left a lasting impression on their clients.
Great things are brewing over at Simonds Farsons Cisk – now in a newly-furnished space. This is due to a recent project completed by DEX Workspaces. The project, which kicked off early December and was completed in May, was part of a wider masterplan for the Farsons site. It included the installation of office desks and chairs, partitions, woven vinyl flooring, acoustic barriers and glass partitions.
The DEX team worked closely with the Farsons group during this intensive project. During the planning phase, the choice of furnishings was made after consulting with the clients’ architects (TBA Periti) and designer Robert Farrugia (DStudios) during several meetings. The team took good care of their clients – as a DEX representative was present on site for twelve hours a day.
Despite the fact that the project was spread over 3,000 square metres and had to be finished within 6 months, the result was extremely satisfactory. Keith Bezzina, Sales & Commercial Manager at DEX Workspaces, said “[The result of the project] is a better environment, improved ergonomics, and more open space. [These will] help employees work as a team in a collaborative environment to bring out the best in people and groups.”
“DEX immediately understood the vision of the designers for the new Farsons workspaces,” said Christopher Ciantar, COO at Simonds Farsons Cisk. “In turn, they responded with product options that offered quality and value engineering as required.” When asked about the way the project was handled, the COO explained that client satisfaction seemed to be central to DEX’s approach. “Whenever the client voiced a complaint, they were quick to act. Our team will recommend DEX to anyone without hesitation.”
The designer who oversaw this project, Robert Farrugia of Dstudio, intended to provide a flexible workspace which improved efficiency, productivity and communication. “The interior offers a bold industrial experience, which reflects the client’s manufacturing background. Shared facilities are located around a generous central circulation space and atrium, with views into departments which are more private and quieter spaces,” says Farrugia. He added that, “DEX offered a professional service throughout. I am pleased with the outcome of the project and look forward to working with them again in future.”
