Gozo Business Chamber President Joseph G. Grech Dies

Mr Grech formed part of the Gozo Business Chamber from when it was founded in 1999, first as Chief Executive Officer and since 2016 as President.

The President of the Gozo Business Chamber, Joseph G Grech, has died at the age of 78.

Mr Grech formed part of the Gozo Business Chamber from when it was founded in 1999, first as Chief Executive Officer and since 2016 as President. The Chamber frequently collaborated with the Gozo Tourism Association and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Enterprise.

His work was instrumental in getting the Chamber recognised as the main representative of the Gozitan business community, both on a national and international level. 

Mr Grech had also recently been appointed as president of INSULEUR, the association of Chamber of Commerce of Island Regions.

A former teacher and avid scouting enthusiast, Mr Grech was actively involved in various other philanthropic organisations on his home island. “He is a great loss for the island of Gozo,” the Gozo Business Chamber said in a statement, and expressed its condolences to Mr Grech’s family.
