Ronald Attard, EY Malta Country Managing Partner said “We are presenting the results of our survey in the context of the ever-changing nature of the pandemic, the ensuing global economic crisis and resultant uncertainty in the market. Over the years this annual survey has proven to be an important barometer of what the country is doing well and where it needs to do better.”
During the 16th edition of Malta’s largest business and foreign investment event, participants will assess the benefit of focusing on long-term value as opposed to short term or immediate gain. There will also be an opportunity to discuss the challenges which businesses are facing in surviving and prospering in the short-term particularly after the pandemic whilst adopting more sustainable practices, modern technology, and a people-first approach.
With many more names still to be announced, EY have revealed speakers from the World Economic Forum, Microsoft, SAP, Financial Times, World Bank, United Nations, BusinessEurope and Bocconi University. Several former world leaders will also feature on a panel discussion on the 3rd day of the event. The speaker line-up will include some who have featured in previous editions such as Prof Jan Peter Balkenende (former Prime Minister of the Netherlands) Jan Krzysztof Bielecki (former Prime Minister of Poland) as well as David Pilling from the Financial Times (author of ‘The Growth Delusion’). Various local speakers will also provide their views on the challenges and opportunities being faced at both country and corporate level.
