In its bid to continuously understand, and keep up to date with the dynamics of the Labour Market, the Malta Chamber is carrying out a research exercise with members of the business community, to better assess what labour shortages exist in the current economic scenario.

The Malta Chamber is aware that the key challenge in the economy at present, is the shortage of labour, both in terms of quantityy as well as particular skills required for determinate industries. For this reason, the Chamber is conducting an online survey to assess the current situation and forecasts in terms of vacancies over the next 24 months.

The survey results will help the Chamber cross-reference the information with other available data and compare the labour market's current status with future demands. The inputs received will be presented in aggregate form and no private/personal information will be distributed.

At the same time, through its strong collaboration with several entities, the Chamber will in the coming weeks launch a number of initiatives aimed at assisting businesses with their recruitment process especially in terms of attracting the right personnel from a number of EU regions.

The Chamber urges members of the business community to fill in the survey by following this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MaltaChamberVacanciesSurvey2019, by Friday 1st February.
