Malta Chamber signs MoU with Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD)

The scope of this agreement is to bridge the gap between persons with disability, the business community and other stakeholders.

On Wednesday 18th December, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between The Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD) The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, and other stakeholders. The scope of this agreement is to bridge the gap between persons with disability, the business community and other stakeholders.

As such, the Malta Business Disability Forum was created in order to provide a platform for discussion and improve dialogue between stakeholders working in the disability, social sector and business. Furthermore, this platform will maximise accessibility for persons with a disability in the business and employment spheres. This will help influence government and policymakers acting as point of reference to provide feedback to new policies.

The Malta Chamber is excited to form part of this Forum and looks forward to provide new ideas to the Community and in engineering policy for the government. Perit David Xuereb has said that “the Malta Chamber will work hand-in-hand with its members, to develop ideas that will then be brought forward to this Forum.”
