More than 1,800 people are expected to attend.

Malta Enterprise has announced the dates of the EUREKA Global Innovation Summit for 2019. The event will take place between May 14th and 16th at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, UK. The three-day summit is free and is expected to attract up to 1,800 people from 45 different countries.

National Project Coordinator Oxana Mercieca is encouraging those who have a business in Malta to attend. “The idea is to share and secure valuable new connections and business opportunities through partnership, project cooperation, expertise and other requests. Over the course of the three days we’ll have around 140 guest speakers and 1,500 matchmaking opportunities for companies and individuals starting out. There will be debates on AI and data, clean growth, the world’s ageing society as well as the future of mobility.

"We want ideas to come from the bottom up and hope that those who attend can also share their tips and knowledge when it comes to business. The event is free to attend, with a short application process to ensure the presence of the most promising innovative businesses and researchers globally,” added Oxana. “Malta-based participants may also be eligible for support to take part in the event.”

Application forms can be found here with more detailed information on the EGIS 2019 website.
