A public consultation workshop on artificial intelligence (AI) will be held by the Malta.AI Taskforce on 21st March, in order to present the outcomes and provide further details on some of the discussions the taskforce has had so far.
Parliamentary Secretary Silvio Schembri said that the workshop will provide a better picture of where the strategy is heading and which specific pillars the taskforce intends to focus on.
Mr Schembri extended an invitation to the workshop to all experts and interested parties. He said the aim of the consultation was to develop use cases of how AI could be deployed in Malta, and understand better how it can be applied by Government to further improve the services given to the public.
The drafting of a National AI Strategy will be in the hands of the Malta.AI Taskforce, which will then be implemented by the newly established Malta Digital Innovation Authority, recently entrusted with regulation of DLT products and services.
