Malta Sees Potential For Further Investment Opportunities In Turkey

President Coleiro Preca will be accompanied by a trade delegation led by Lino Mintoff, the Malta Chamber of Commerce’s Head of Projects and Internationalisation.

President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, who will make a state visit to Turkey later on this week, said that there is potential in Turkey for further investment opportunities between the two countries.

During a preparatory meeting for the visit, President Coleiro Preca said she was convinced that the state visit would leave the desired results for Maltese businesses, while continuing to strengthen the political and bilateral relations between Malta and Turkey.

President Coleiro Preca will be accompanied by a trade delegation led by Lino Mintoff, the Malta Chamber of Commerce’s Head of Projects and Internationalisation. The delegation will include 50 representatives of various sectors of Maltese industry.

“We have construction, financial services, the maritime sector, as well as recycling and various others,” Mr Mintoff told TVM.

“This trade delegation will meet with Turkish companies who will attend the B2B meetings we organised as a Chamber, along with our counterparts in Turkey, giving them the chance to seek partnership opportunities.”

In Ankara, President Coleiro Preca will also meet with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
