New Business Award Hopes To Encourage Greener Corporate Practices

A new competition to encourage businesses to be kinder to the environment has been launched by the Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Business.

The aim of the Sustainable Enterprise Award is to recognise, promote and reward business organisations that have made a significant contribution to the different aspects of sustainable development. 

Launched last Thursday by Minister for the Economy Chris Cardona during Thursday's Enterprise Consultative Council, the competition hopes to reward companies and businesses who are making real efforts to change their environmental practices and promote sustainability.

The first three winners will be awarded a cash prize of €6,000, €4,000 and €2,000 respectively.

Two info-sessions on are also being held on Thursday 9th and Thursday 23rd May at 9.30am at The Ministry of the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses, Millennia, 1st Floor, Aldo Moro Road, Marsa.
