New Ryanair Route Expected To Bring Over 11,000 Jordanian Tourists To Malta

Flights from Malta to Amman and back are set to commence twice weekly as from April.

Low-cost airline Ryanair is to operate a new route between Malta and Amman, the capital city of Jordan, twice weekly as from April.

The new route from the Middle Eastern country to Malta is estimated to bring around 11,200 new inbound visitors to the Maltese islands during the summer months.

It will be the 62nd route operated by the low-cost airline from Malta in the summer, and the first one out of Europe.

Six of Ryanair’s aircraft will be based in Malta in the summer. There are plans to handle 3.1m customers on its Malta routes during 2019. 

Earlier this year, Ryanair announced a new flight partnership with Air Malta, which now allow’s 600 million annual visitors to book Air Malta flights on the website.

Customers can browse and book Air Malta flights on 21 routes from Malta to eight countries across Africa, Asia and Europe.
