HE Dr George Vella, President of Malta, expressed his gratitude towards the diligent and earnest drive that The Mata Chamber showed during the past months with the aim of enhancing Malta’s business sphere.
As he addressed attendees during The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry Annual General Meeting, the President thanked The Chamber for its exceptional work in establishing itself as a credible and real organisation that is the backbone of Malta’s economic pulse.
Dr Vella outlined that, despite the never-ending odds and complicated scenario, The Malta Chamber remained Malta’s true voice of business through the provision of a holistic, collective vision, well-researched approaches and unbiased forecasts.
The President explained that during such difficult times, The Chamber has been a prime example as to how a well-managed organisation, made up of an energetic team, focused on a well-rounded strategy, were able to keep other business afloat through their policy influences.
Dr Vella noted how paramount The Malta Chamber was in acting as a beacon to Maltese businesses, through its thought leadership approach, to aid such organisations in navigating unchartered waters. During his message, the President outlined the impeccable trust that Malta’s business community has for The Malta Chamber, as it the foremost business representative able to identify the issues that truly matter and turn the words into action. This was definitely reflected in the various documents that The Chamber published on an array of subjects, such as good governance and public procurement, with the aim of not only providing a snapshot of current realities but, most importantly, propose a way forward.
