Voluntary repatriation scheme for all foreigners living in Malta extended to 10th May

The scheme has been extended for all foreign nationals who are living in Malta and wish to return home amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The voluntary repatriation assistance scheme for foreign nationals living in Malta who wish to return to their home country has been extended. In a statement by the Foreign Ministry, Government announced that applications will be received until 10th May 2020.

The scheme is available for all European Union citizens and third-country nationals who have been residing in Malta for employment, education, family reasons, tourism and others. Foreign nationals who are not in possession of a residence document are also entitled to assistance.

The application can be accessed online.
